FamVenture ("we", "us") operates this family activities directory for Southwest Ontario. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
No account required. FamVenture is a read-only directory. You can browse all listings without creating an account or providing any personal information.
Analytics. We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics (such as aggregated page-view counts) to understand which listings and categories are most useful. We do not use cross-site tracking or sell data.
Contact emails. If you contact us at hello@famventure.ca or use a "Report outdated" link on a listing, we receive your email address and message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and improve listing accuracy.
2. Cookies and Local Storage
FamVenture does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Filter preferences you set on the directory page are handled in your browser memory only — nothing is stored in a persistent cookie or sent to our servers.
3. Third-Party Links
Every listing includes an external link to the activity's own website and a Google Maps link. When you follow these links, you leave FamVenture and those third parties' own privacy policies apply. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content.
4. Children's Privacy
FamVenture is a directory aimed at parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
5. Data Retention
If you contact us, we retain your message only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry. We do not build user profiles or behavioural histories.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have shared with us by emailing hello@famventure.ca. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect when it was last revised. Continued use of FamVenture after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
